Couldn't have put it better myself, Tasha. I got into manga/animé when it was still an interesting niche, but now it's at saturation point (and as such i don't find it as special and interesting anymore), and i'm sort of looking for the next niche, you know?

well i say go for it. i personally love anime and it is part of my everyday life, but i know exactly what you mean. It seems to me that there is less realistic art these days. I find that things are being taken over by the anime world, at first it felt special but now its just there. I like the cartoony style of things but i also love the realistic kinds of art. It seems that not only is the classical music disapearing but so are the classical arts that are becoming even more rare.

Again, thankyou for the compliments! I try to be different from the hordes and hordes of manga artists who clog up DA with crappy, cookie-cutter scribbles. At one time i was like 'ooh ooh animé look i can do it too', but as time's passed i've matured both mentally, and artistically. These days i'm looking to move away from the animé style, and take what i do into more 'serious' territory - perhaps try and get some realism in there to go with the vivid colours and cartoony style.
As for the music, i can well sympathise with you when you mention artists like Justin Timberlake. Shows like American Idol are churning out bullshit that vast numbers of people eat up - twenty years ago, that possibly wouldn't have happened to even the winner of the show, let alone the second and third place entries. I'm not sure that we'll ever see the likes of classic artists Queen again in our lifetime.

i agree with you one the classical music thing, as for the art i am glad i am that way as well, lol. For me it has always been about the outsome of the art piece, i don't mind the content of any kind of art, or the medium, art is just amazing for me. i find it so intreaging the way peoples mind create such different pieces and so many of them are like classical music to me, while others are like justin timberlake, annoying and everywhere over and over again; boring. your art interests me, its different, but at the same time not to different; breath of fresh air.

A lot of classical music was written at a time when music was more of a dominant medium - it really was a movie or a videogame for it's day. It seems that the later a lot of music is written, the more base and listless it is. For instance, i'd rather have one Queen than a hundred Green Days. As for art, i'm pleased that you're not the kind of person who lets content get in the way of style.

are you kidding me? i love classical music, i may not know much beyond beethoven and motzart but classical music i find is more powerful then the music you here now. It is powerful not in words but in the different instuments used to express emotions. Its amazing. and i am cool wioth 'boobage', it doesn't offend me in anyway, boobs are natural. Use as much boobs as you want, i still enjoyed your art. boobs are boobs. XD

Ah! Thankyou for the compliments, Tasha - i'm pleased that all the boobage didn't put you off.
... While it's in my head, i'd like to express my respect for your signiature - i can't remember the last time i met a fan of classical music on DA. Clearly you are a woman of taste!
